Practicing Philosophy for Social Change

I see philosophy as an activity that addresses persistent questions and contemporary challenges through critical thinking and active dialogue.  When grounded in our everyday lives and concerns instead of the armchair, philosophy can realize its liberatory potential by theorizing effective paths for meaningful social transformation.  This vision of philosophy shapes who I am as a person, and it is reflected in my teaching and my scholarship.
